Wow! I can’t believe that it was six months ago today that I got the call that your birthmom was going into labor. I can’t believe that it was six months ago today that I got to witness you being born. I can’t believe that it was six months ago today that your Daddy and I got to hold you for the first time. So much has happened since then. Today, at six months old, you like rolling over but not being on your tummy after you get rolled over. You like eating, and you are now eating real foods. You LOVE applesauce. You like being outside. You have three almost four teeth. You’re just such a big boy now! I have loved watching you change over the past six months, and I can’t wait to keep watching you change over the rest of your life.
By the time the next three months have passed, and you are nine months old, you will have a little brother. Your little brother is going to cause Mama and Daddy to start all over in the baby department. You will be doing all sorts of big boy stuff that we will love to see, but we will also be dealing with lots of baby stuff with your brother. Don’t worry Ward. We will still notice all the cool stuff you are doing too. Your brother will take some of the attention away from you, but it’s going to be so great. You are going to LOVE Walker, no matter how different the two of y’all most likely will be.
Ward, I write this to say that you are now and will always be my sweet love. I am so thankful for you and who you have allowed me to become. I can’t imagine life without you and I love life with you. So, happy halfway to a year birthday Dubby! Daddy and I love you so!
