Wow! I didn’t know you were considering adoption. I think that’s amazing. I hope God will bless your journey & I will be praying for “your” child whoever he/she may be!
Feeling super blessed tonight. Can’t wait to go through this journey with y’all. Praying for you both and the baby that will be part of our family.
So excited for you and Ken and for Standaddy and Deb (?). Y’all are going to be awesome parents and grandparents!
Deb will be Marmee. Little Women reference there.
Oh that is soooo nice thank you for letting others in your adventure. I want to say this to you, one of the last and sweetest things my husband Steve said to me before he went to be with Jeshua {Jesus} His hebrew name. He asked me “how did you go from loving just our children to loving other’s children just as much. It must be God that changed something in you.” When I was your age I loved my kids all other kid’s were to much to handle. Then God tells me to join children’s church I did not want to at all. I obeyed and He transformed me to the point that I can’t see myself feeling alive unless I get to spend most of my days with kids. I am proof to all who knew me before Christ, that God can do anything with a bowed heart. I know you will love the child God puts in your arms and raise them knowing Him. I am honored to work with someone who knows and loves God Thank you! Diane
My husband and I had our 3 children in 3 different ways. We had fertility issues when we tried to have our first child. After being married 3 years, we were ready to start our family, but things didn’t go exactly as planned, so we went the fertility route. After a few short months and some medicine we conceived our first child. When she was about 3 we were ready to try again. However things didn’t go as quickly as before, and we began to feel a strain on our marriage, so we decided to try the adoption option, as we felt like you do, that there are many babies out there needing homes. We were working with an adoption agency and had waited several years. But God had other plans and placed a baby with us through private adoption, with about 5 days notice. So we then had 2 girls and figured if God wanted us to have more children he would work it out in His time and way. When the baby we adopted was a year old we found out we were pregnant. No Drs., no adoption, no medicine, just pregnant!! This time it was a boy and our cop runneth over…so hold on tight, you never know what God has in store for this journey. There will be ups and downs, highs and lows, and surprises along the way. But as the Bible says “For I know the plans I have for you……” so trust in Him, pray for Him to lead and guide you, and comfort and protect you, AND hang on for the ride of your life. I don’t know you, but I look forward to following you via blog as God blesses you in ways you cannot even understand yet.
